OS BR24 5" Gauge
History The German Class 24 (BR 24) was designed for passenger service by the German State Railways and in total some 95 locomotives were manufactured between 1926 and 1938. This locomotive, very similar in use and service to the BR Class 5 engine, was the mainstay for the many regional railways throughout Germany.
This beautifully made and precision manufactured locomotive from O.S. comes either as a painted fully machined kit or a ready-to-run engine and is packed full of power. The model, being built to the German loading gauge, is approximately 20% bigger than its UK equivalents. The tender is design as a “sit on” driving trolley and is ideal for ground level or raised tracks. Please note pictures show engines with optional extras fitted.
